• SINCE THE MELTDOWN OF THE FINANCIAL MARKETS IN OCTOBER, 2008 NONE OF THE OTHER 6,000 PALM BEACH COUNTY REALTORS HAVE OBTAINED A NEW BROKEN SOUND SALES CONTRACT EXCEPT THE WEINFELD/GROSS TEAM. THOSE CONTRACTS WERE IN OAK RUN AND WILLOW GREENS IN OCT, TANGLEWOOD IN NOV, AND BENT CREEK IN DEC, ALL 2008. We continue to sell BROKEN SOUND homes even in the most challenging markets ever.
  
  
• In 2008, there were 42 homes sold in BROKEN SOUND compared to 49 in 2007, 58 in 2006, and 145 in 2005. At the end of Dec, 2008 there were 96 homes for sale compared to 93 homes in 2007, 76 in 2006, and 34 in 2005 (see chart pg 3). The number of homes for sale has risen 280% in 3 years and the number of homes sold is off by 16% from 2007 and nearly 71% from 2005. Selling even the nicest home in today’s market environment takes much longer. The heavy competition for sale and fewer buyers looking to purchase homes has put increasing pressure on prices. Sellers need to be patient and flexible in order to complete a sale, as buyers have many choices in many clubs.
